THIS secret is used by everyone that loses 20, 30 or 50 lbs…

Today I want to talk about something that is the real “secret” behind people that lose a TON of weight.

I see this “secret” being used everyday with the people who lose weight on my Flat Belly After 50 program.

And it’s always missing in the people that don’t lose the weight.

And when I tell you what it is, you might be inclined to shrug it off since it’s so simple.

Want to know what it is?

Congruency with their goal.

Back when I was 55 lbs overweight, I made the decision to finally get back in shape.

I also made the decision that my actions would be congruent with that goal.

For example…

Stopping off at Dunkin Donuts in the morning for breakfast would NOT be congruent with that goal.

Going to McDonald’s for lunch and scarfing down a Big Mac, fries and a 64 oz soda would NOT be congruent with that goal.

This tends to be the crux of the problem with most people who are trying to lose weight.

They want to lose weight, but they want to keep doing the exact same things they’re currently doing.

It’d be great if it worked like that, but it doesn’t.

It’s not reality…

And the same thing happens with people who want to lose weight without changing their habits.

When I first started, I found that making “small changes” to the food I was eating still allowed me to eat healthy food without feeling like a rabbit munching on lettuce all day.

So that daily lunch trip to McDonald’s turned into a trip to Five Guys where I got a double burger without the bun.  I added pickles, lettuce & mustard to it, and had an unsweetened ice tea with it.

That little swap alone would have probably taken 5-10 lbs off of me over the course of 3 months.

So what’s the point you should take away from this?

It was only when my actions became congruent with my goal that the weight started to fall off.

Most people miss that part.

But without it, you’re just gonna wind up frustrated, angry and overweight.  

Think about that for a second…

If you have a goal to lose weight, or to manage your diabetes, are your actions congruent with that goal?

It’s a simple idea, but one that’s extremely powerful.
