I read something the other day that put a scare into me…
The U.S. Army is in trouble.
And it’s not just from threats like North Korea, Russia, or even ISIS…
There’s something happening HERE, in our own backyard, that’s hurting the U.S. military.
It’s not resources, intelligence or innovation related either…
It’s a fitness crisis.
And enlistment in the military is wayyy down. Why?
Because nearly 70% of Americans between the ages of 17-24 aren’t in good enough shape.
So the Army is scrambling, trying to come up with a solution.
But there’s an easy way for President Trump to boost our military and get our troops back in fighting shape.
But, it starts before anyone thinks about joining the military.
When kids are still in school…
Because right now they’re not learning the importance of a proper diet, and regular exercise.
And it shows.
Not only is enlistment down, but troops that do get in are experiencing more training related injuries. Which is likely a sign of poor health.
But with a bit of education and the right mentality there could be BIG changes, FAST.
And starting with something like an ‘80/20’ rule would do the trick…
80% of the time, eat REAL FOOD. Things like meat, veggies, eggs, fruits, nuts and healthy oils.
You know, the food that God put on earth for us to eat.
And then 20% of the time, go ahead and treat yourself…
It’s a simple answer. But one that would profoundly change the health of our young people, and strengthen our military.
Now, Trump will no doubt have to fight the powers that be (big food companies), tooth and nail to make this happen.
But if we truly care about our kids, our country and our military, this would be a BIG first step.
