Jeff, Last year on New Years day, I told myself that 217 lbs was too much.
I had just turned 71 and like you, thought that maybe Father Time had caught up with me. About three weeks later I found your Flat Belly After 50.
I tried to stick with your plan as close as I could. I work second shift in security guard work, so eating three times a day is out. I eat twice with a couple of healthy snacks per day.
I was losing about 3 lbs per week. This continued until late May when the scale showed 180 consistently. After that, I lost a couple of lbs, but that’s it. What I’m saying is that I’ve kept it off, with a late Fall exception which took me six weeks to get back to my 177 weight, which I’m still at today, January 1, 2016.
To summarize, I lost 40 lbs, maintained that weight for over six months now, my strength is better, and I feel better than I did 10 years ago. Your plan works, but there will be some ups and downs but keep at it and it will work.
